CuvroPets reimburses pet parents for eligible veterinary expenses. When your pet needs medical care, visit any licensed vet, pay the bill, and then submit your claim online. Once the claim is reviewed, you’ll receive your reimbursement.

Pet insurance with CuvroPets can help offset costs if your pet in Puerto Rico gets sick or injured unexpectedly. Plans are available for accidents only, or for accidents and illnesses combined. Accident-only coverage may include vet exams, diagnostic tests, medications, and hospitalization.
Accident and illness coverage can extend to treatments for infections, dental conditions, behavioral issues, and more. You can also add preventive care for vaccines, wellness checkups, and routine services.

A pre-existing condition is any illness, injury, or medical sign that appears before you enroll in CuvroPets insurance or during the waiting period.

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, if a curable condition has been symptom-free and treatment-free for at least 180 days, it may become eligible for coverage again.

The waiting period is the time between enrollment and when coverage begins. Any condition that develops during this period will be considered pre-existing and excluded from coverage. At CuvroPets, most plans start coverage after 14 days.

You can enroll puppies and kittens as young as 8 weeks old. It’s best to sign up early to reduce the risk of conditions being excluded as pre-existing.

Yes. With CuvroPets, you can visit any licensed veterinarian in Puerto Rico, including specialists and emergency clinics.

Yes. Preventive care can be added to your plan for a little additional cost. This option reimburses you for vaccines, wellness exams, and other services that help keep your pet healthy. No deductible or waiting period applies to preventive care benefits.

Pet insurance is financial protection that helps cover veterinary costs for your dog or cat. It can reimburse you for expenses related to accidents, illnesses, and preventive care, reducing the burden of unexpected vet bills.

Pets can be enrolled starting at 8 weeks old, with no maximum age for coverage or enrollment.

We do not cover exam/consultation fees. Only though Complete Package do you have a $50 annual exam visit. There are limits to preventive care coverage throughout the year.

Yes. You’ll pay your vet as usual, then submit your claim for reimbursement based on your plan.

Ask your veterinarian for an itemized invoice with diagnosis details. Complete the claim form provided with your policy and send it to petclaims@cuvroinsurance.com. Once approved, your reimbursement will be issued promptly.

No. You're free to visit any licensed veterinarian in Puerto Rico including emergency care and specialists.
